• Music Memory
  • During the 2003-2004 school year, I used the curriculum to prepare one 5th grade class for the competition at Lincoln Center in May 2004.  Our team won a Bronze ribbon.
  • This program expanded for the 2004-2005 school year, with the entire 5th grade (six classes) and eight of the ten third grade classes participating.  The competition will take place on May 9, 2005 at Lincoln Center.
• Project Arts Liaison
  • This position was offered to me for the 2004-2005 school year and has proved to be a great experience.
  • My function in this role has been to work closely with the administration on budgeting/purchasing for the arts department and has allowed me to facilitate the implementation of an instrumental music program, as well as visits/performances from various arts organizations.
  • Major purchases at the end of this school year will allow us to expand our arts programs a great deal next year and include:  a new grand piano, a set of tone chimes, several band instruments, new guitars, a printing press, significant visual art supplies and equipment, as well as a digital recording studio.
